Is there any place that I can find somewhere to study (not necessarily quiet) with available parking spots around NDG, Downtown and around? Be it a cafe, library etc...
(Finals coming for calculus and I just started studying for it lol...)
can anyone recommend a crêperie, cafe or bistro place in downtown / plateau / quartier latin that would be open on a saturday for lunch and a bit later, say 1pm to 5pm. just a nice place where you can get a sandwich, crepes or salad for lunch and then can stay a bit longer with a coffee and a good dessert and talk things over with friends. any

Hello Montreal! Has anyone seen chipotle chiles in adobo sauce (usually comes in a can, like so) within walking distance of the McGill ghetto? I had no luck at the obvious Provigo, Metro, Eden, etc. Cheers.
I'll be entertaining the week of August 16 and am looking for some fun weeknight (Monday-Thursday) entertainment - comedy shows, a play, etc. Something that would appeal to a group of people with a broad range of interests. Downtown is best. Any tips?
I checked the tags on this one but there are no answers lately. Is there any community theatre going on located centrally? i.e not the West Island? What about musical theater? Improv? I'm itching to do something creative but don't know where to begin.
I have some kind of eye infection and badly need to see an opthamologist asap; my optometrist is on vacation, so I can't ask her for a referral (I'm sure the office can suggest someone actually, but it's too hard for me to get out to the West Island), so how does this work? Can I just call up an opthamology office and book an emergency appointment

I'm trying to find a YMCA gym close to where I live (Sherbrooke and University) that isn't very busy like the downtown Y one. I am thinking of Du Parc or Guy Favreau. Which one has a good selection of machines and isn't always busy like the downtown one?
My 21th b-day is in two weeks and since I live in the South Shore I don't have the best idea of where good places are in Montreal. I'm looking for a buffet or resto downtown, it really has to be CHEAP since we're all uni kids and none of us have a trust fund waiting. I know some friends are vegan so I have to find a place with that kind of option

I'm looking for a yoga studio welcomes beginners and has lessons either bilingually or in English. I've done Ashtanga and Hatha yoga in the past, but I'm looking to start fresh. I've heard good things about the studio by the Laurier metro that offers hot yoga, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to do hot yoga on a regular basis (at least until I try it
